CODE OF CONDUCT POLICY

1. Purpose
The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to ensure that all members, guests, visitors, staff, and contractors of Kooindah Waters Golf Club (KWGC) behave in a respectful, responsible, and sportsmanlike manner always. This policy outlines the standards of behavior expected and the consequences of any breach.

2. Scope
This Code of Conduct applies to:
– All members of KWGC
– Visitors and guests on club premises
– Employees and contractors
– Participants in club competitions and events
– Users of KWGC’s facilities and social media platforms

3. General Behaviour Expectations
All individuals must:
– Act with integrity, honesty, and fairness
– Treat fellow members, guests, staff, and the public with courtesy and respect
– Abide by all club rules, local laws, and the rules of golf as defined by the R&A and Golf Australia
– Avoid offensive, discriminatory, aggressive, or abusive language or behaviour
– Display sportsmanship and respect the decisions of management, staff and club officials.

4. On-Course Behaviour
Players must:
– Follow pace-of-play guidelines
– Repair divots, pitch marks, and rake bunkers
– Adhere to dress code and equipment standards
– Respect the golf course, facilities, and environment
– Refrain from club throwing, excessive swearing, or damage to course property

5. Off-Course & Resort Conduct
Members and visitors must:
– Show courtesy to all staff and fellow patrons
– Comply with the Resort dress code and etiquette
– Consume alcohol responsibly
– Not bring the club into disrepute through words or actions, either in person or via social media

6. Social Media Conduct
Online activity involving the club must:
– Be respectful and not damage the club’s reputation
– Not include bullying, harassment, or inappropriate comments
– Avoid sharing confidential club information

7. Disciplinary Action
Breaches of this Code may result in:
– Verbal or written warnings
– Temporary suspension of membership or playing rights
– Permanent expulsion from the club
– Reporting to relevant external authorities where required

All disciplinary actions will be handled by the Club’s General Manager and/or Head Professional in accordance with our disciplinary procedures.

8. Reporting Misconduct
Any person wishing to report a breach of this Code should do so in writing to the General Manager or Head Professional. All reports will be handled with discretion and fairness.

9. Acknowledgement
By attending or participating in activities at Kooindah Waters Golf Club, individuals acknowledge and agree to abide by this code of conduct.

SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

1. Purpose
This policy sets out the expectations and rules for the responsible use of social media by employees, members, guests, and representatives of Kooindah Waters Golf Club (KWGC). Social media plays a vital role in community engagement, but it must be used respectfully and in a way that protects the Club’s reputation, privacy, and values.

2. Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, members, and guests using social media platforms in connection with KWGC, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and online forums.

3. General Guidelines

  • Respect and Integrity: Users must engage respectfully, courteously, and honestly. Harassment, offensive language, or discriminatory comments will not be tolerated.
  • Brand Representation: Only authorised staff may post official content on behalf of KWGC. Members and guests are welcome to share their personal experiences but must not present themselves as official Club representatives.
  • Privacy and Consent: Do not post photos, videos, or personal information of others without their explicit permission. This includes staff, members, and visitors.
  • Club Image: Content that may harm the reputation of KWGC—such as inappropriate behaviour, damage to facilities, or violations of Club rules—must not be posted.
  • Confidentiality: Do not share internal information, financials, or any private club matters.

4. Employees and Contractors

  • Personal use of social media during work hours must be limited and not interfere with duties.
  • Employees must not use KWGC logos or branding on personal accounts unless authorised.
  • Any issues or grievances should be addressed through proper internal channels, not via social media.

5. Members and Guests

  • Members and guests are encouraged to tag KWGC and share positive experiences but must uphold the Club’s standards of conduct.
  • Misuse of social media in connection with the Club may lead to disciplinary action, including suspension or revocation of membership.

6. Monitoring and Enforcement

  • The Club reserves the right to monitor public social media content involving KWGC.
  • Breaches of this policy may result in corrective action, including verbal/written warnings, removal of posts, suspension, or termination of employment or membership.

7. Reporting Concerns
If you see content or behaviour on social media that appears to breach this policy, please report it to Club Management promptly.

8. Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as needed to ensure it remains relevant and effective.
