Rik & Pete Take on The Longest Day – 72 Holes for a Cause!
On 1 December 2025, Rik Hoole and Peter Devlin will be taking on the ultimate endurance golf challenge – 72 holes in one day at Kooindah Waters Golf Club –all to raise funds for the Cancer Council through The Longest Day. This is a cause that is very personal to Rik and Pete and to many of our residents and members.
They’ll tee off at dawn and play until dusk, driving, chipping, and putting their way through four full rounds to support those whose lives have been impacted by cancer.
To make things even more fun (and raise a few extra dollars), Rik and Pete are open to challenges! Here are a few ways you can get involved:
- Sponsor-a-Hole: Pick an activity on a hole and the team will do it for that hole. Eg “wear a kilt”,
- Challenges for Donations: The higher the pledge, the tougher the challenge – Play the hole in reverse club selection, Driver off the deck, …
- Birdie Bonus: Guess which hole will have a birdie on it for a small prize (its probably a bottle of wine)
Every donation, big or small, helps make a real difference.
Support Rik and Pete’s Longest Day challenge and help fund vital cancer research and support services.
