Kooindah Waters Residential Golf & Spa Resort
A component of a luxurious Residential Golf & Spa Resort and surrounding the first-class clubhouse is the 18-hole layout dominated by the spectacular existing wetlands, with the course designed to interact with the natural water features and flora.

Divided into three distinct character precincts, the course has been designed to be a "thinking golfer's course" where accuracy, ball placement and imagination will be the keys to scoring well.

Sleeper retaining walls and bunkering are used to provide a "rustic" feel with a feature of the layout being the island green on the par 3, 17th hole.

HOLE IN ONE MADNESS AT KOOINDAH WATERS
January 6th 2009 - Kooindah Waters Golf Club was abuzz last month with three golfers scoring holes in one on the Ross Watson-designed course.

Visiting golfer, and member of fellow Troon Golf-managed course Twin Creeks Golf & Country Club, Jerome Ballard managed an amazing feat sinking his second hole in one at Kooindah Waters on December 28.

Jerome scored his first hole in one at the Central Coast course in August 2006 on the 17th hole and this time made the shot on the par 3 2nd hole.

Jerome Ballard said Kooindah Waters would always be a special place to him after his second hole in one at the course.

“I hit a fantastic 6 iron into the wind to a flag that was placed towards the back of the green, the ball bounced once and then straight into the hole,” Mr Ballard said.

“I just couldn’t believe that it could happen twice!

“The course is always in immaculate condition and I really look forward to another visit back to Kooindah Waters soon.”

Resident and member David Tester also scored a hole in one on the par 3 6th hole on December 13, followed by visiting golfer David Dunk on the 12th hole on December 29.

Director of golf at Kooindah Waters Golf Club Mark Ingrey said December had capped off the Club’s record run of holes in one.

“A total of nine holes in one were scored at Kooindah Waters during 2008 which is great achievement and a testament to the playability of the course,” Mr Ingrey said.

“We look forward to another year of success on the fairways in 2009 and wish our golfers the best of luck with their own ambitions for a hole in one.”

Located on the stunning NSW Central Coast, within 90 minutes north of Sydney's CBD, Kooindah Waters is an 18-hole par 72 championship course designed by leading golf course architect Ross Watson with design input from Golf Professional Craig Parry.

STOLTZ MAKES REMARKABLE COMEBACK AT AUSTRALIAN OPEN
December 15th 2008 - Kooindah Waters Golf Club ambassador Andre Stoltz has made a remarkable return to the professional golfing ranks after tying for sixth place at the 2008 Australian Open.

Proudly wearing his Kooindah Waters Golf Club cap and shirt throughout the tournament, Andre shot rounds of 69, 71, 66 and 75 to finish at seven under par and just two shots back from tournament winner Tim Clark.

Andre was forced into premature retirement three years ago due to a chronic wrist injury. He purchased a driving range at Bateau Bay which led to his association with Kooindah Waters Golf Club.

Kooindah Waters Director of Golf Mark Ingrey said the Club congratulated Andre on a sensational performance at the Australian Open.

“Kooindah Waters is proud to be associated with a golfer with as much talent and determination as Andre Stoltz,” Mr Ingrey said.

“To battle back from a chronic injury and perform so well at the country’s national championship is a remarkable effort.

“We hope his performance at the Australian Open will act as a springboard to even better results in 2009.”

Andre said the Club has played an important role in his comeback to the professional tour.

“The support I have received from Kooindah Waters Golf Club has been an important factor in getting me back out on the course competing,” Andre said.

“I was extremely happy with how I hit the ball at the Australian Open and hope I can carry the form into next year.”
