WALLABY ON THE GREENS AT KOOINDAH WATERS
June 1st 2009 - Kooindah Waters Golf Club welcomed Wallabies footballer Luke Burgess to the course last Friday May 22.

Currently in-between the Wallabies season and the Super 14 season, Luke Burgess braved the wet weather to play a round of golf with his brother.

The Waratahs’ starting halfback is a local boy, hailing from Maitland, Newcastle.

Sales and marketing manager Kimberly Petersen said the course at Kooindah Waters frequently attracted elite sportspeople.

“In just the past few months we’ve had several athletes visit the course including a group of footballers from the Manly Sea Eagles team and former Australian Netball Captain Liz Ellis,” Ms Petersen said.

“Having so many elite sportspeople visit Kooindah really does show the quality of the course.

“A round of golf on the beautiful Kooindah fairways is a great way for sportspeople to relax and take some time out from their busy training schedules.

“We were very happy to see Luke Burgess enjoying a round of golf on our greens and hope to see him again soon.”

Located on the stunning NSW Central Coast, within 90 minutes north of Sydney's CBD, Kooindah Waters is an 18-hole par 72 championship course designed by leading golf course architect Ross Watson with design input from Golf Professional Craig Parry.
