SPECIAL OLYMPIANS TO COMPETE AT KOOINDAH

State trials for the National Special Olympics Golf team will be hosted at Kooindah Waters on Sunday March 1, with successful golfers progressing to the National Titles in Adelaide next year.

 

More than 30 intellectually-disabled female and male golfers from all over New South Wales are expected to participate on the day.

 

Kooindah Waters Sales & Marketing executive Kimberly Petersen said the Club was proud to be hosting such an event at the course.

 

“This year will only be the second time golf has been played at the Special Olympics, so we are really pleased to host the state trials,” Ms Petersen said.

 

“We are also donating a voucher for one night’s accommodation for two at Mantra Kooindah Waters to the winning golfer.”
