SEA EAGLES STARS TEE OFF AT KOOINDAH

April 23rd 2009 - Kooindah Waters Golf Club welcomed NRL footballers Chris Bailey, Jamie Lyon, Heath L’Estrange and Brent Kite to the course on Tuesday April 21.

The four Manly Sea Eagles players enjoyed a relaxing round of golf to escape the daily grind and stress of the football season.

Representative centre Jamie Lyon came out on top, narrowly beating Manly five-eight Chris Bailey.

Kooindah Waters sales and marketing executive Kimberly Petersen said the course at Kooindah was proving a popular stop for professionals from other sports seeking an enjoyable day out.

“Kooindah Waters frequently plays host to sporting celebrities, including former Australian Netball captain Liz Ellis just last month,” Ms Petersen said.

“Spending a few hours on the course is a great way for sporting professionals to enjoy a break from their highly pressurised situations.

“We were pleased to welcome back Sea Eagles hooker Heath L’Estrange, who has previously played the course.

“The next time you play at Kooindah Waters you may be lucky and run into one of your sporting heroes.”

Located on the stunning NSW Central Coast, within 90 minutes north of Sydney's CBD, Kooindah Waters is an 18-hole par 72 championship course designed by leading golf course architect Ross Watson with design input from Golf Professional Craig Parry.
