FROM NETBALL COURT TO GOLFING GREEN
| |||
Kooindah Waters Golf Club demonstrated its sports star pulling power when former Australian Netball captain Liz Ellis paid a visit to the Club last weekend. Liz spent the afternoon playing a leisurely 18 holes before dining at Karinyas Restaurant at Kooindah Waters Residential Golf & Spa Resort. The well-known sportswoman played a great front nine and scored 26 points after her and husband Matthew made the trip from Sydney to play the Central Coast course. Kooindah Waters sales and marketing manager Kimberly Petersen said it was a testament to the course that the Club regularly attracted a range of sporting celebrities to its fairways. “It’s great to see our professional sports players come and enjoy a round on the Kooindah course,” Ms Petersen said. “Liz Ellis has had an outstanding netball career and she’s not too bad out on the green either. “We were really pleased to welcome her and Matthew to play at Kooindah,” she said. Other sporting celebrities who have graced the greens at Kooindah Waters include Central Coast local and national rugby union star, Adam Ashley-Cooper and Newcastle Jets A-League star, Joel Griffiths. Located on the stunning NSW Central Coast, within 90 minutes north of Sydney's CBD, Kooindah Waters is an 18-hole par 72 championship course designed by leading golf course architect Ross Watson with design input from Golf Professional Craig Parry. Kooindah Waters Residential Golf & Spa Resort is a development by Clarendon Residential Group, a part of Investa Property Group, a fully integrated property company and one of the largest unlisted owners of commercial property in Australia.
